On Becoming a Teacher
I’m very vocal of my thoughts on me badly wanting to graduate already. Well, who wouldn’t want to finish school and graduate? Some would comment saying “time will pass by, and you will graduate soon, you won’t even notice it”, but then some would say, “you should be enjoying your college life, college maybe be hard, but it is only a step of preparedness to what real life is”.
As an education student, studying to
be a teacher someday. I know that my future profession wouldn’t be easy, especially
that I am taking elementary education. I will be handling a big responsibility.
Being a teacher, itself is not an easy job, and I do believe being a teacher in
elementary grade learners is harder. I, as a future educator will play a big
part in molding my learner’s future, I will be helping them build their
foundation of knowledge and skills, and that foundation should be strong enough
to carry them in building dreams that will serve as their will to strive hard
and reach their goals in life. I will become the bridge to their future, and
that bridge should be sturdy enough and won’t break easily despite the
challenges and hardships I might face as an educator.
To become worthy of that
responsibility I have to strive hard to have the right skills and abilities,
more specially the passion to teach and impart knowledge. I also believe that
as a future educator my job isn’t only to only impart knowledge but also to
impart life lessons that will inspire learners to have and create dreams in
life. I have to be fully equipped not only with the right knowledge, the right skills
and passion but also the will and courage on becoming a teacher someday, it
won’t be easy but will His help and with my trust on Him, I can.
